Spring Colors 2017

Spring Colors 2017

Every year when spring rolls around and all the trees start to blossom with beautiful flowers and splashes of bright green begin to show up I think to myself, "wouldn't it be great to photograph birds on these perches".   This year I decided to really concentrate on making that happen and I've spent a lot of time standing around colorful trees and laying in colorful fields.  Here is a collection of my favorite colorful photos, some showing bright colorful flowers and background and others with just a tiny splash of color.  What an amazing time of year to photograph birds!  The photo up top is one of my favorites featuring a tiny Blue-gray Gnatcatcher perched in a bright pink blossoming Cherry Tree.

An American Robin searches for food in a field covered in small purple flowers.

A vibrant Yellow Warbler stands out in a tree with fresh green leaves and big white flowering blossoms.

A Black and White Warlber sings its heart out perched on the branch of a Redbud tree full of purple blossoms.

A tiny Field Sparrow decides to take a moment land in a field of Dafodils.

Another American Robin stands in the fresh green grass surrounded by tiny white flowers.

A Golden-crowned Kinglet perches atop a branch with fresh green leaves just starting to appear.

A Chipping Sparrow perches on a branch surrounded by brand new reddish colored leaves.

A Carolina Chickadee perched in a blossoming tree as flower petals fall above it.

Nature photography has become a very passionate hobby of mine and whenever I get a chance I love to get outside and enjoy being outdoors. I am also the co-owner of KGM Expressions, a wedding and portrait photography business, with my wife Kim. This is how we make our living and I love that we get to do that together.
